Low Cost Spay/Neuter

$50 Spay/Neuter Special.  Five (5) services include Spay or Neuter, Rabies and Distemper/Parvo or Rabies and Distemper/Feline Vaccines, a Check-up and a Pain Medication Injection.  Drop off is at 6:45 am at the Community Pet Center Office and pick up at 5 pm.  Space is limited and payment is due at time of scheduling to allow for an accurate count for transport.  Payment (exact cash or money order) and scheduling are due no later than the Friday of the week before your Wednesday appointment.  Stop in our office at 861 Piney Ridge Road in Forest City on Monday through Friday between Noon and 4 pm to schedule and pay for your appointment and secure your spot.  Please check our Facebook page (Community Pet Center) or call the CPC office @ (828) 287-7738 for available dates. 


The Community Pet Center partnered and worked with students from the elementary, middle and high schools as well as REaCH, ROC, Thomas Jefferson Classical Grammar and Academy and ICC.

“Pet Education in the Classroom” volunteers and pets visited 25 classrooms at 7 schools.

Pet Food Pantry

Community Pet Center Pet Food Pantry 
If you are a Rutherford County resident facing financial difficulties, we are happy to assist you until your financial status improves. We offer FREE dog and cat food each month. 

The following documentation is required:
1. Proof of identification (drivers license, etc.)
2. Proof of low income (Medicaid, WIC, Food Stamps, SSI)
3. Proof of Rabies Vaccine certificate.

Volunteers make a difference! Youth and adult volunteers help with the following programs: Pet Food Pantry – Events – Fundraising – Fostering – Spay/Neuter Transports – New Leash on Life – Office Support- Education. Join us and get involved.

Become a CPC Volunteer for a few hours a week, a few times a year or any amount of time in between. Volunteers 17 and under need parental consent. Check out our volunteer page for an application.
