Who We Are
The Community Pet Center (CPC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are organized exclusively for service to the community through charitable, informational and educational activities. We provide pet food for low-income families, sponsor low-cost spay/neuter programs, promote responsible pet ownership in Rutherford County and assist with rescues. We launched a “Pet Education in the Classroom” program for 3rd-graders and in 2018 have expanded it to the middle and high schools.
Our Goals:
-
Promote the reduction of cats and dogs destroyed in Rutherford County through spaying and neutering. This reduces the pet overpopulation and unnecessary destruction of healthy adoptable animals.
-
Promote responsible pet ownership through our “Pet Education in the Classroom” program.
-
Enrich the lives of animals and help the citizens of Rutherford County through our FREE Pet Food Pantry.
-
Work with our partner rescue groups to save cats and dogs.
