About Us

Who We Are

The Community Pet Center (CPC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are organized exclusively for service to the community through charitable, informational and educational activities. We assist with rescues, provide pet food for low-income families, sponsor low-cost spay/neuter programs and promote responsible pet ownership in Rutherford County.

Our Goals:

  • Promote the reduction of the number of cats and dogs destroyed in Rutherford County through spay and neutering by reducing pet overpopulation and unnecessary destruction of healthy, adoptable animals.

  • Promote responsible pet ownership through education in Rutherford County.

  • Work with our partner rescue groups to save as many cats and dogs as we can.

Our Plans:

We have purchased a building which will house our offices and foster cats. We will continue to provide spay and neuter options and disperse free pet food to Rutherford County residents.  We will be housing cats and kittens awaiting transport to out-of-state non-profit rescue organizations.
