In Memory of Pat Tetrick

It is with much sadness that we were told that Pat Tetrick passed away over the weekend.  She was many things to many people.  She was a beauty queen, pilot, singer, mentor, and volunteer at the Rutherford Hospital and with the Rutherford County Board of Elections.  Pat was one of the original volunteers with the Rutherford County Animal Protection Alliance – later known as the Community Pet Center – and also participated on the Board of Directors.  Most of all, Pat will be remembered for her extraordinary love of animals – the neglected, sweet, shy, small or large – she loved them all.  Thank you, Pat, for being a part of our Community Pet Center family for nearly 20 years.

Funeral arrangements are pending.

We are looking for homes for her many dogs. If you would like to adopt one of them or be a long term foster, please call our office at 828-287-7738 or email Lynne at cpcrutherfordcounty@gmail.com for more information.

Welcome to Community Pet Center Blog

 Hello Everyone,

We would like to thank Marsha and Mary for taking care of us while our home at the Community Pet Center’s new office is being finished.  We will be checking in with you once in a while to update you on our adventures. We heard that there is a big window for us to check on the volunteers.

We also heard that many volunteers are going to take part in Earth Day on Saturday, April 22nd, by cleaning the section of Oak Street and Thunder Road that they adopted.

Stay safe and take some pictures to post.
